In School Sports Programs

Sport 4 Schools specialises in the delivery of high quality Physical Education programs for Primary School students at an affordable price.
 
Using only fully screened and qualified coaches who have extensive experience in working with primary and high school students, our programs are specifically designed to meet both your school's individual needs and the outcomes outlined within the school syllabus.
 
In School Sports Programs include:
  • Provision of fully screened, qualified and experienced staff (including qualified Physical Education teachers to assist your school with release from face to face commitments where required)
  • Set up and supply of quality equipment 
  • Design of skill based, all inclusive, syllabus based program tailored to suit the specific needs of your school and budget.
  • Minimum coach to student ratio of 1:15 (minimum 2 coaches per program)
  • Sport 4 Schools to conduct assessments and provide school with a syllabus based assessment report for each student. 
  • Certificate of currency showing $10 million public liability insurance and $2 million personal indemnity insurance.
  • Certificate of completion for each student.
  • Flexible timetable options to assist with wet weather. 

Programs

Athletics:
10 week program where students learn the correct techniques for events such as the discus, high jump, long jump, shot put, sprints and relays in preparation for the school athletics carnival.
 
Circus Skills:
Exciting 10 week program where students learn the basics of circus skills such as devil sticks, juggling, spinning plates and much more! Circus skills are great for hand eye coordination and concentration skills. Students perform a talent quest at the end of the program where prizes are handed out.
 
Dance:
Fun program designed to meet the PDHPE syllabus with an emphasis on developing key elements such as body awareness, posture, balance, spatial awareness and rhythm.  Dance styles taught are bush, folk, creative, social, jazz and hip hop.
 
Learn a Sport:
Children are taught the rules and the skills required to play a particular sport. Skills are taught each week and practiced during fun drills.  At the end of each session students have the opportunity to put what they have learnt into practice whilst playing a fun modified game.

Gymnastics:
A program based on the gymnastics component of the PDHPE syllabus. Activities taught include safety exercises (like safe landings), body orientation through rolls and twists, balance and teamwork skills, power skills such as jumping and leaping, and strength and flexibility exercises like hand stands and floor exercises. Equipment used: balance beam, mini tramp, parallel bars and vault. 
 
Motor Skills:
The aim of the program is to:
  • Begin to promote and develop the skills necessary for an active     and healthy lifestyle.
  • Develop each child's confidence and competence in fundamental movement skills, such as throwing, catching, kicking, jumping and running.
  • Develop flexibility, strength, coordination, balance, body awareness and spatial awareness.
Through participation in these activities, students learn to take turns, work with a partner or in a small group, cooperate with others, share equipment and develop an understanding of fair play and the importance of social rules.  
 
High School Sport
We visit high schools helping teachers with Wednesday & Thursday afternoon school sport. We can provide coaches to organise and referee friendly games of cricket, soccer, touch footy, oz tag, netball, volleyball. We even join in and play with the high school students to encourage them to get involved. It's always more fun when you participate!
